I recently completed a self-imposed experiment in which I chose to post absolutely nothing online for 1 year....... no comments, no uploads, no..... well anything. It was done for several reasons, mainly a self-discipline exercise to see if I was still in a frame of mind that let me focus on artistic endeavors without the need to stroke my ego for the works I produced. This experiment lasted at least 1 year. I also wanted to build a body of work that I could analyze and decide if what I personally was producing has merit. I intend fully to exhibit the results soon. By no means did I mean for this to be something I feel everyone should do, or a cultural-elitist stance. It was more of a self-criticism that my work and ideas were not fully formulated. I hope to get in touch with many of you soon. I also know that this has deprived me of seeing the brilliant work that you have put out, but I fully intend to view your works. I really feel I have gained a new perspective on not only my own output but a more analytical eye on what surrounds me. In this day where the USA election results will be decided, I choose to see the definitive answers before commenting. More to follow
